Death Valley - CA

Death Valley (CA)

Death Valley owes its name to a track that passed through the valley in 1849 - a woman is said to have said >> Goodbye, Death Valley <<.
It is the driest and hottest national park in the USA. Interesting for pilots is the airport in the Valley at Furnace Greek - it is 210 feet below sea level (63 m).
Also, a tour of the Valley is very interesting or the famous '20 Mulie Team Canyon ', which is enraptured by its colors.
For stargazers in particular, Death Valley is worth the trip. There is almost no stray light in the sky.
