Edinburgh  (2025)

Scotland - Edinburgh (City of Edinburgh) has been the capital of Scotland - and therefore a must-see!

Edinburgh is a small, compact city with many very interesting old buildings.

The old town - the "Royal Mile" consists of the streets Canongate, High Street and Castlehill and is actually about the length of a Scottish mile, around 1.8 km.

In addition to the beautiful old town, a visit to the "Princes Street Gardens is a must-see - it stretches between Castle Rock, on which the castle was built, and Princes Street.

Edinburgh is also known for the annual Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (Tattoo).
